Wrestle, then Yield!

Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day. Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob’s hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him. And He said, “Let Me go, for the day breaks.” But he said, “I will not let You go unless You bless me!”  So He said to him, “What is your name?” He said, “Jacob.” And He said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.” (Genesis 32:24-28)

Not everyone accepts Christ as easily as others.  Not everyone believes the Word of God as undoubtedly as others.  But I would challenge anyone reading this who can't bring themselves to believe, to reconsider again the Way, the Truth and the Life that God offers through Christ.  And just as Jacob did, don't give up until God answers you.  Just as Christ explains in the following story, persistence will pay off: And He said to them, “Which of you shall have a friend, and go to him at midnight and say to him, ‘Friend, lend me ...'; and he will answer from within and say, ‘Do not trouble me; the door is now shut, ...; I cannot rise and give to you’? I say to you, though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs." (Luke 11:5-8)

“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” (Luke 11:9-13) Accept Christ as your Lord and Savior today! This perfect gift will bless you for eternity!
