Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to sow. ... But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” (Matthew 13:3, 23) But the word of God grew and multiplied. (Acts 12:24)
Christians are to share the word with others, through our verbal testimony and in the way we live. Our only job in the work of leading others to Christ is to "sow" the seed of the Word of God. God will take care of the rest. Christ explains in the parable of the Sower four types of ground, or people who receive the word: the first doesn't want to have anything to do with it; the second thinks it sounds good, but later chooses to follow the ways of the world. But avoid foolish disputes, genealogies, contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and useless. Reject a divisive man after the first and second admonition, knowing that such a person is warped and sinning, being self-condemned. (Titus 3:9-11)
However we never know who will hear the word and accept it. Christ goes on to explain: the third believes the Word, but they never quite grow in their faith because they're so overcome with the cares of the world; the fourth believes the Word and completely commits their lives to God, becoming a blessing to not only themselves but others. Let us not just believe and make it into eternity. (I Corinthians 3:15) Let us believe, be transformed and in turn, lead others into eternity also!
