World Being Prepared for The Deception - 2 of 2!

“When you come into the land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God drives them out from before you. You shall be blameless before the Lord your God. For these nations which you will dispossess listened to soothsayers and diviners; but as for you, the Lord your God has not appointed such for you. (Deuteronomy 18:9-14)

God warned the children of Isreal not to follow after the beliefs and customs of the people in the land they were going to live in, for these people believed in and worshiped false gods and idols.  He was very clear about them not falling into the trap of entertaining people who speak to "spirits".  We must understand some key things about spirits: 1. "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:24); 2. "...the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [Jesus], He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you." (John 14:26); 3. Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit  [breath of life, Genesis 2:7] will return to God who gave it. (Ecclesiastes 12:7) 4. "Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God." (Leviticus 19:31)

The word "spirit" is used throughout the Word of God, but it's not always speaking about the same thing.  That's the limitations of the english translation, there's not always an english word that best translates the original hebrew or greek word, but that limitation does not take away from the true meaning or interpretation.  As long as the scripture is kept in context, we can all come to the correct interpretation, through the Holy Spirit: These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. (I Corinthians 2:13)

One day, all of this will be over, the good and the bad, and all that will be left is the best, eternal life with God, in the "New Heaven and New Earth"! (Isaiah 65:17, 66:22; II Peter 3:13; Revelations 21:1) Please choose God today, so that your eternal end won't be the same as the "deceiver": The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. (Revelations 20:10) AMEN!
