We Share, God Saves!

I [Apostle Paul] planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. (I Corinthians 3:6)

Sometimes we as Christians get discouraged when we share the Word of God with people, but it seems as if they don't want to hear it or believe it.  We should not take it personally: Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.  You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin (Hebrews 12:1-4)

No matter how people may reject the Word of God, we have not suffered to the point that Jesus did.  Yes many people have died for their faith, and in many countries people are still murdered for their faith.  This is nothing new.  But for the many who have died, a multitude more of us are alive and free to share the Truth.  Let's regain our spiritual posture and be bold witnesses for God: Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble kneesand make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed. Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:  looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; (Hebrews 12:12-15) So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:6) ...and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel,...; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. (Ephesians 6:19-20)

Our job is not to save anyone, we couldn't even save ourselves.  Our job is to lead others to Christ by sharing the Word of God, and God will take care of the rest: How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?  And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” [Isaiah 52:7] But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” [Isaiah 53:1] So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:14-17) And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.(Matthew 28:18-20)
