The Perfect Gift, A Body!

Therefore, when He came into the world, He said:
“Sacrifice and offering You did not desire,
But a body You have prepared for Me.
In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin
You had no pleasure.
Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come—
In the volume of the book it is written of Me—
To do Your will, O God.’” [Psalm 40:6-8]
Previously saying, “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law), then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second. By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. (Hebrews 10:5-10)

This Christmas, let's remember the uniqueness and significance of the baby, Jesus:
Jesus is the I AM!
Jesus is the Lord your God.
Jesus is the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
Jesus is the head of all principality and power.
Jesus is the maker of all things.
Jesus is the Passover.
Jesus is the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
Jesus is the Word of God in flesh.
Jesus is the only begotten Son of God.
Jesus is the Son of God's love.
Jesus is the image of the invisible God.
Jesus is the firstborn over all creation.
Jesus is the Son of man.
Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
Jesus is the sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
Jesus is the one sacrifice for sins forever.
Jesus is the the firstborn from the dead.
Jesus is the good shepherd, who gives His life for the sheep.
Jesus is the door of the sheep.
Jesus is the vine, you are the branches.
Jesus is the Christ, the Savior of the world.
Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega.
Jesus is the Beginning and the End.
Jesus is the First and the Last.
Jesus is the Advocate with the Father.
Jesus is the Mediator between God and men.
Jesus is the head of the body, the church.
Jesus is the propitiation for our sins.
Jesus is the intercession for us.
Jesus is the fulfillment of the law.
Jesus is the light of the world.
Jesus is the bread of life.
Jesus is the living bread which came down from heaven.
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.
Jesus is the resurrection and the life.
Jesus is the baptizer with the Holy Spirit.
Jesus is the one who is worthy to be praised!

All of that and so much more was wrapped up in the body of the baby Jesus!
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:1-2) Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. (I Corinthians 6:19-20)

God has given us all that He has!  Let us give back to God ourselves!
Merry CHRISTmas!
