ELECTION DAY: HOW SHOULD WE VOTE

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. (Philippians 2:3-4) ...but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” (Matthew 20:26-28)

Slavery was abolished in the USA in 1865, while a Republican was President – Abraham Lincoln
But…
- Abortion was legalized in the USA in 1973, while a Republican was President – Richard Nixon
- Social class economics was a practiced policy, while a Republican was President – Ronald Regan
- Same sex unions became legal for the first time in an American state in 2004, while a Repu
blican was President – George W. Bush
- Worst deficits in USA history up to that time were left by two separate Presidents for the incoming Democratic President to fix, both of which were Republicans – George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush

Don’t vote based on moral issues, because Republicans preach it but can’t deliver and Democrats are open and honest about their liberal beliefs, which most conservatives don’t agree with.

Vote based on God’s standard: But select from all the people some capable, honest men who fear God and hate bribes. (Exodus 18:21 NL) Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. (Proverbs 1:7) He who rules over men must be just, Ruling in the fear of God. (II Samuel 23:3)

But whoever the leader may be, if a man believes in God, whether he does a good job or a bad job, God Says, “Do not touch My anointed ones, ...” (I Chronicles 16:22); He who walks with integrity walks securely, But he who perverts his ways will become known. (Proverbs 10:9) “I will take revenge. I will pay them back.” He also said, “The LORD will judge his own people.” It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God. (Hebrews 10:30-31) VOTE and TRUST GOD!

No matter who we vote for, we who are believers must remember that God has given us access to His power, to not only bring about change in this world, but healing! The Lord said: "...if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." (II Chronicles 7:14)
